Nicaragua, Central America
Nicaragua is the largest of the Central American countries, and is located about 500 miles south of Cancun, Mexico.
My goal in creating this web page is to educate people as to what Nicaragua is really like today. Most people today still think of Nicaragua as the war torn country it once was some 30+ years ago, but that is no longer true. In fact, Nicaragua today is a friendly tourist destination with many fun and exciting things to offer.
It is true that Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in the world, however I have found the Nicaraguan people to be very hard working, friendly, and hospitable people. Nicaragua does seem to be moving in a positive direction, but they can still use much help. One of the best ways you can help the people of Nicaragua is to visit - plan a vacation to Nicaragua! I hope the information on this web page helps you better understand the country of Nicaragua, and helps you plan your next vacation there.
